Vaarst’s CEO, Brian Allen talks scaling clean tech businesses with HRH Prince William

Vaarst’s CEO, Brian Allen, recently had the privilege of meeting HRH Prince William at Sustainable Venture’s County Hall. It was a gathering of leading pioneers in the clean tech industry, and the main topic on the agenda was how to scale businesses rapidly in this field.

The climate crisis is real and immediate and it was encouraging to have such engagement in the importance of scaling companies that provide clean technology solutions. The UK has set an ambitious target of deploying 50GW of offshore wind power by 2030.

This target will require quick surveys, efficient deployments, and timely maintenance. At Vaarst we have a goal to make offshore wind energy cheaper for everyone through driving more efficient, accurate and complete subsea data capture. 

Sustainable Ventures have been investors since 2017 and have been an important part of our journey in scaling clean tech ever since.
